Anniversary Puja for HH Penor Rinpoche, 22 March to 24 March, 2012

The Third Anniversary Puja for HH Pema Norbu Rinpoche will take place this month between Thursday, the 22nd to  Saturday, the 24th of March with grand Tsog offering to be held at the end.   The main Dratsang lead by HE Gyangkhang Rinpoche and Khenchens will perform Shitro Lama Chodpa ceremony at the main temple.  The Sangha community of Nuns will carry through Vajrasattva Lama Chodpa ceremony at Zangdok Palri Temple during these three days.  Primary School-aged lamas will conduct the Swift Return prayer of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche.

Out side persons who wish to participate and need assistance to get accommodation, etc., should try to contact Monastery as soon as possible because since the third anniversary is considered important, there may be huge turn out of participants.

SECOND ANNIVERSARY PUJA TO COMMEMORATE THE LATE HIS HOLINESS PENOR RINPOCHE’S PARINIRVANA

The highest governing body of Namdroling Monastery, made up of HH Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, HE Gyangkhang Tulku Rinpoche, HE Muksang Kuchen Rinpoche, Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche and Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche, recently announced the dates for its prayer ceremony, to be held during the second anniversary of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche’s parinirvana. Like last year it will be held from April 3-5, 2011 (Tibetan Date: Full moon day of the First Month and 1st and 2nd day of the Second Month according to Tibetan Lunar Calendar).

The monks of Namdroling will gather at the Padmasambhava Buddhist Vihara and perform the Shitro (Peaceful and Wrathful Deities) ritual, and nuns will assemble at the ground floor of Zangdog Palri Temple to carry out Vajrasattva sadhana, according to Mindroling tradition. In addition, lay practitioners will recite Vajrasattva mantra and the prayer for the swift rebirth of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche’s incarnation. HE Gyangkhang Tulku Rinpoche, HE Muksang Kuchen Rinpoche, Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche and Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso will preside over the grand puja. Grand offerings of flowers and lights will beautify the temples of Namdroling Monastery, and food and tea will be served to all who will participate in the ceremony.
